Episode 66 — Nittany Lion Inn Renovations With Gary Brandeis '88
Gary Brandeis '88 is the Founder and CEO of Scholar Hotels LLC. Gary started his real estate career in 1990 and has been the principal partner in four real estate investment funds, investing over $350 million in all property types and investment strategies since 2010.
He acquired his first hotel in 2006 and since then, Scholar has developed, redeveloped, and currently operates six hotels in State College including the Nittany Lion Inn and The Penn Stater. As a Penn State alumnus, these projects have special meaning, and their success is also Penn State’s success.
Gary joined us on The People of Penn State to discuss how he got started in the hotel real estate industry, the Scholar's portfolio of hotels in State College, the extensive renovations to the Nittany Lion Inn, and his work giving back to Penn State as a volunteer.
